University of Cebu grad tops August 2026 mechanical engineers licensure exam
The Professional Regulation Commission on Thursday released the results for three examinations given by the Board of Mechanical Engineering earlier this month.
According to the PRC, 1,362 out of 3,686 test takers passed the mechanical engineers licensure examination and 109 out of 142 passed the certified plant mechanics computer-based licensure examination, given by the Board in Metro Manila, Baguio, Butuan, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi, Lucena, Pagadian, Pampanga, Rosales, Tacloban, Tuguegarao and Zamboanga.
A graduate of the University of Cebu, Junry Vitor Vistal, achieved the highest score with a result of 92.20%.
The top performing school with at least 50 examinees is De La Salle University-Manila, with 49 of its 56 test takers passing, while the top performing school with 10 to 49 examinees is Capiz State University-main campus, with 21 of 25 test takers passing.
Click here for the complete list of passers of the August 2026 mechanical engineers licensure examination. In this alphabetical list, the Ñ follows the Z, so a person with the surname Muñoz, for example, will be listed after a person with the surname Muya.
In a separate statement, the PRC said 574 test takers passed the oral examination/technical evaluation for professional mechanical engineers, given by the Board in Metro Manila, Baguio, Calapan, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Koronadal, Legazpi, Lucena, Pagadian, Pampanga, Puerto Princesa and Rosales.
