Sara Duterte to fly to Japan from Aug. 19-24, says Palace

Malacañang on Tuesday said that Vice President Sara Duterte will be traveling to Japan from August 19 to 24, 2026 for a “personal trip.”
Presidential Communications Office (PCO) Secretary Dave Gomez made the confirmation to Malacañang reporters this afternoon.
Gomez said the Vice President’s trip is “personal” and “at no cost to the government.”
Duterte is currently facing impeachment charges over allegations of culpable violation of the Constitution, graft and corruption, betrayal of public trust, bribery, and other high crimes. —RF, GMA News
