Harry Potter and Linux

At various points in our recent history, we can see how technology played an important role in propelling the icons of our modern times. These milestones include Pope John Paul II and CNN, the SMS-launched EDSA rebellions, the rise of Linux and Open Source, Paris Hilton's sex and prison exploits and then of course Harry Potter. We're familiar with most of the icons mentioned above. Let me just write a brief note here about Linux and Harry Potter. I'll tackle Linux first, then Rowling's colossal series.
