Laguna de Bay breaches critical level amid heavy rains from Habagat

The water level of Laguna de Bay breached the critical level on Saturday due to heavy rains brought by the Southwest Monsoon (Habagat) and a low pressure area, the Laguna Lake Development Authority said.

On Saturday at 3 p.m., the water level was at 12.58 meters, which is over the bay's critical high mark of 12.50 meters, the LLDA said.

"Residents living along the shores of Laguna de Bay are strongly advised to remain vigilant and closely monitor official public announcements. Please prepare for potential flooding and strictly adhere to local evacuation protocols if continuous rainfall persists," it added.
