PNP reshuffles 7 high-ranking officials, names 2 new NCR district directors

Seven high-ranking officials of the Philippine National Police (PNP) have been transferred to new positions as part of the agency's latest leadership reorganization.

According to a Super Radyo dzBB report by Sam Nielson on Sunday, the reorganization affects the directors of two police districts in the National Capital Region.

Eastern Police District Director P/BGen. Melecio Buslig Jr. has been named the new Chief of the PNP Firearms and Explosives Office.

Buslig will be replaced by P/BGen. Roman Arugay, who is currently assigned to the Office of the PNP Chief.

Meanwhile, Southern Police District Director P/BGen. Glenn Oliver Silvio has been appointed as the new Chief of the Supervisory Office for Security and Investigation Agencies.

Replacing Silvio is P/BGen. Rodel Pastor.

Based on the new unit reassignments, Police Regional Office 8 Director P/BGen. Jason Capoy will assume the role of Chief of the Human Rights Affairs Office under the Office of the PNP Chief.

Replacing Capoy is Police Regional Office Negros Island Region (NIR) Director P/BGen. Romano Cardiño, whose vacated post will be filled by P/BGen. Rudecindo Reales.
