Police file complaint vs 2 MILF men over Zambo blast
MANILA, Philippines - Police on Thursday filed criminal complaints against two alleged members of the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) in connection with the explosion in Zamboanga City on May 29 that killed two people and wounded over 20 others. Zamboanga City acting police chief Senior Superintendent Lurimer Detran claimed the two are MILF members based in Cotabato City. "Sila ay member ng MILF na nakatalaga sa Cotabato City (They are members of the MILF who are based in Cotabato City)," Detran said in an interview on dzBB radio. He said they filed the complaint before the city prosecutor's office against one Salamuddin Hassan. Earlier charged was one Salaudin Hassan, he said. Detran did not say if the two are related. Detran also said both suspects now face charges of double murder, multiple frustrated murder, and damage to property. The two suspects are still at large. Also, he said the police will spread photos of the two and post them in public places so people who see them can call the police. "Sa ngayon pinaghahanap natin sila sa buong area ng Zamboanga. Ipapasa natin ang kanilang picture sa iba't ibang provincial police office para magconduct ng manhunt operations (We will look for them in Zamboanga. We'll post their photos with the other police offices so we can conduct a bigger manhunt operation)," he said. - GMANews.TV
