Cebu provincial buses to raise fare rates July 15

CEBU CITY, Philippines - A group of bus operators in Cebu province will implement a new fare-rate increase beginning July 15. GMA regional news network Balitang Bisdak reported Thursday that bus operators had decided to raise fare rate due to the continued rise in the prices of petroleum products. Cebu Provincial Bus Operators Association said Thursday it would implement 50 percent of the 40¢-per-kilometer provisional fare increase. With the new fare rate, the previous P60 for 60 kilometer distance would become P74, and that this would be so in all provincial routes.
