Quezon fisherman loses arm dynamite-fishing
MANILA, Philippines â No thanks to a dynamite fishing gone wrong, a 32-year-old fisherman will now have to catch fish with only one arm, a radio report said on Tuesday afternoon. Radio dzRH reported that the victim, initially identified as Leonardo Cuyot, was rushed to the Quezon Medical Center in Lucena City after the incident. Cuyot lost his right arm and suffered injuries in different parts of the body after a stick of dynamite he was about to throw into the water exploded prematurely. The incident occurred at San Narciso town in Quezon province, the report said. Meanwhile, residents in the area scored the local maritime command for "negligence," which they said allowed the incident to occur. - GMANews.TV
