DMIA ready for Cebu Pacific flights – CIAC head
CLARK FREEPORT, Philippines â The head of the Clark International Airport Corporation (CIAC) on Friday said the facility is all set to accommodate the international flights of Cebu Pacific in November. "The airport is ready and we welcome Cebu Pacific in their daily international flights," CIAC president and CEO Victor Jose I. Luciano said Friday. CIAC earlier announced that Cebu Pacific will start its daily international flights on November 8 via Clark-Singapore and Hong Kong. It will also service flights four times weekly to Bangkok and Macau. Luciano said that Cebu Pacific is the first major local carrier to mount international flights at DMIA and "it is one of the best in the country." He added that the air carrier will also start its daily flights via Clark-Cebu on October 1. It is also eyeing domestic flights in other key cities in the Philippines like Davao via Clark. More overseas Filipino workers (OFWS), mostly coming from northern and Central Luzon, are expected to benefit from the flights. "This will also generate more jobs," Luciano said. â Joey Aguilar
