Bulacan folk gather at capitol for world's longest pastillas
MANILA, Philippines - Residents of Bulacan province gathered at the provincial capitol early Friday to witness the formal presentation of the world's longest pastillas candy. Radio dwIZ reported that the "pastillas" was made of carabao's milk, and measured 200 meters long and five inches thick. It was made in San Miguel and San Ildefonso towns. The report said local officials were to present the delicacy for entry in the Guinness Book of World Records as the longest "pastillas" candy. For the occasion, residents also cooked 50 lechon (roast pigs), lechong manok (roast chicken), and 10,000 eggs. - GMANews.TV
