GenSan security doubled over MILF 'threat'
MANILA, Philippines - Police doubled security in General Santos City after receiving intelligence reports hinting possible attack by members of the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF). Radio dzBB's Benjie Liwanag Jr. reported early Thursday that the cityâs police chief Sr. Supt. Roberto Po ordered cops to tighten up security at the airport and the Petron oil depot. Task Force General Santos commander Col. Leo Ferrer said they have increased intelligence gathering, monitoring and security operations. Po also ordered police to inspect all incoming and outgoing vehicles especially from the city's airport.- GMANews.TV
