Sun.Star: Bravo is a psychiatric case - Army major

DAVAO CITY Philippines - An Army official accuses Moro Islamic Liberation Front leader Abdullah Macapaar alias Kumander Bravo of insanity. In a statement, Major Medel Aguilar of the Army's 5th Civil Relations Group said Bravo's threat of "ubusan ng lahi" is but an indication of his insanity. He said those who agreed with Bravo are the same nut case. "No one in his sane mind would ever agree to the statement of Bravo. Definitely he needs psychiatric treatment and a leave from the MILF organization," Aguilar said. He said Bravo's threat further divided the already fragmented MILF after the rebel group rebuked Bravo's threat. MILF chief negotiator Mohagher Iqbal also opposed Bravo's statement that Mindanao belongs solely to the Muslims. "Two things I'm sure of, Bravo and Kato do not have the support of the MILF organization and the MILF leaders have no control or authority over Bravo," Aguilar said. The major warned that if the MILF keeps Bravo and Kato in their fold, "the MILF stands to lose everything including the organization itself."
