Alarm leads to fall of 2 'Bolt Cutter Gang' members

MANILA, Philippines - An alarm at a money transfer outlet led to the arrest of two of three members of the "Bolt Cutter Gang" in Rodriguez town in Rizal province early Friday. Radio dzRH reported Saturday that the two members, Russel John Guzman, 37; and Edwin Gonzales, 37, were arrested after engaging police a chase. Now at large is Ronald Castro, 39, who managed to elude arrest. Investigation showed the men forced their way into the branch of Western Union money transfer along J.P. Rizal Street in Rodriguez town at about 5 a.m. Friday. But their actions triggered an alarm that alerted local police, which sent a team to intercept the men. The police team caught Gonzales and Guzman trying to flee on a Toyota FX-type vehicle (WJT-836). A chase ensued until police cornered the FX at Sitio Cacho in Balite village. - GMANews.TV
