2 killed, 1 hurt in Benguet road accident

MANILA, Philippines - At least two people were killed while another was injured after their 10-wheeler truck fell 20 meters into a ravine along Ambuklao Road in Benguet province after midnight Sunday. Radio dzBB reported Tuesday the bodies of the fatalities were pinned in the wreckage of the truck while the survivor was rushed to a nearby hospital. Initial reports indicated the truck (RGA-827) came from Baguio City and was heading for Ambuklao Dam when the incident occurred. The truck was carrying toilet accessories for the rehabilitation of Ambuklao Dam. Police suspect a mechanical defect to be the cause of the accident. - GMANews.TV
