Cops hunt rapist-killer in Negros Oriental

MANILA, Philippines — Police in Negros Oriental province are tracking down a man who raped and killed a 20-year-old woman in the city of Tanjay last weekend, an online news site reported Tuesday. Visayan Daily Star (www.visayandailystar.com) reported that the body of the victim was first discovered in a grassy area in San Miguel village in Tanjay. Police identified the victim as Kathleya Oroy, 20, of sitio Kanal, in the village. Passersby informed case investigators about the body. Tanjay health officer Dr. Virginia Kadile said there is a possibility that the victim was molested before she was killed, because of the semen in her private part.
