11 fishermen reported missing off Pangasinan - report


MANILA, Philippines - Authorities in Pangasinan are now searching for at least 11 fishermen who went missing after leaving shore to fish last Wednesday, a radio report said Monday. Radio dzBB reported that the 11 fishermen were aboard three of six boats that left Bolinao town. One of the boats was identified as the MV Sussaine owned by Lou Villaroco. Initial reports identified the missing fishermen aboard it as Joel Dulay, 31, operator; Romeo Inocencio, 48; a certain Macario Sr; Joseph Pasay, 25, all of Concordia village in Bolinao. A second boat, MV Lester owned by Lester Laruco, had Joel Tretosenio; Alejandro Caranza, 38; Danny Sagun; and Ricardo Carino. The third boat, MV Magdalena owned by Wilma Caoile, had Victor Caasim, Leo Canlejo and Nathaniel Rocadito. The report said the other three boats had been found. Initial reports indicated the boats encountered big waves, which posed a major problem to the rescue operations. - GMANews.TV
