Nueva Ecija municipal water district director shot dead

MANILA, Philippines – Unidentified armed men shot dead over the weekend the director of San Antonio Water District in the northern Philippines province of Nueva Ecija, a television report said Monday. GMA 7’s Unang Balita reported that Alfredo Lopez was shot while jogging in San Mariano village in San Antonio town when he was fired upon by the suspects. The report said Lopez sustained three gunshot wounds. Police operatives are now following the trail of the suspects who escaped the crime scene aboard motorcycles. Authorities are also looking into the motive for Lopez’s murder, the report added.
