Mother, son killed inside Laguna home

MANILA, Philippines – A woman and her daughter were found dead and riddled with stab wounds in their home in Victoria town in Laguna province, police said Monday. A radio report quoted Victoria police as saying that Carmelita Ramos, 45, and Neil Carlo, 12, were found dead inside their home around 8 a.m. Monday. The police added the incident may have occurred Sunday night. Police have already arrested a suspect in the killing. He was identified as Eulogio Sancon alias Luigi, 32, a cousin of the female victim and also a resident of Victoria town. According to a report submitted by Senior Superintendent Manolito Labador to PNP Region 4 director Chief Superintendent Perfecto Palad, the suspect was asking money to Carmelita but was denied. - Sophia Dedace, GMANews.TV
