Bulacan village exec, boyfriend found dead inside car

MEYCAUAYAN CITY, Philippines - A 22-year-old barangay official and her boyfriend were found dead inside an abandoned car in Bulacan province in Central Luzon Sunday morning, police officials said. The victims who were shot dead by still unidentified perpetrators were identified as Catherine Esteban, official of Tugatog village in this city, and businessman Jayson Hernandez, 30, resident of Barangay Marulas in Valenzuela City. Investigators are looking at love triangle or business spat as the motive behind the killing. The bodies of Esteban and Hernandez were found inside a silver Mitsubishi Lancer (ZHM 188) parked in front of the Richmond Subdivision chapel in this town. Police further said both were found blindfolded and seated at the backseat of the car, both with gunshot wounds. Investigators said the victims might have been slain in elsewhere since residents in the area did not hear gunshots before the discovery of the bodies. - Rommel Ramos, GMANews.tv
