Apl.De.Ap's brother laid to rest

MANILA, Philippines – Joven Pineda Diala, the slain half-brother of Black Eyed Peas’ member Apl.De.Ap, was laid to rest Wednesday. In his report in GMA News' “24 Oras,” Steve Dailisan said Diala’s remains were buried at Sapang Bato Cemetery in Angeles city, Pampanga. Apl.De.Ap (Allan Pineda in real life) visited Diala’s funeral last Tuesday morning and left afternoon of the same day. The report said the mother of Diala was quiet during the funeral rites but turned emotional during the burial. Diala was shot on the left side of his head while he was inside his parked car last February 3. His girlfriend, Elaine Torres, who was with him during the attack, did not recognize the assailants. Authorities are yet to arrest the suspects in the killing of 24-year-old Diala. Artist sketches of the alleged killers have been released but so far no witness has come out to help in the investigation. Police are eyeing love triangle as motive behind the killing, the report said. Task Force Joven head Chief Inspector Wilfrefo Paulo said they believe Torres is the key in solving the murder. “Tanging si Elaine lang ang ating testigo na nakita doon sa insidente [Elaine is our only witness]," Paulo said. Paulo said they would soon interview Torres for information regarding her boyfriend’s killers. - GMANews.TV
