9 students hurt in Benguet road accident

BAGUIO, Philippines – Eleven students were rushed to a hospital early morning Wednesday after the driver of the passenger jeepney they were riding lost control of the vehicle along Naguilian Road in highland Benguet province. Police said all the victims were students from Sablan town, who were on their way to nearby Baguio City to attend classes. The students were rushed to the Baguio General Hospital and Medical Center for treatment. The accident is yet the first major road accident along any of the highland highways in the Cordillera, earlier touted as “killer roads" because the roads lie along ravines and mountain sides. - GMANews.TV
