Grenade blast kills 3 kids in Quezon province - report
MANILA, Philippines - Three brothers died after a grenade launcher bullet accidentally blew up near their house in Catanauan town in Quezon province, a radio report said on Saturday. Two of the victims, identified as 15 year-old Romnick and 12-year-old Joselito Dimatulac, were found dead on the spot. The youngest brother, five-year-old Hilario, was reportedly brought to the hospital for treatment but was declared dead on arrival. The report quoted the Catanauan police as saying that at about 11 a.m., Friday, while his brothers were watching television, Romnick was seen hammering a bullet, which he picked up outside their house. The police added that Romnick got the bullet from an area in Catanauan where the military and the New People's Army had an encounter last March 3. - Kimberly Tan, GMANews.TV
