Security tightened in Baguio, Banaue for Arroyo visit


MANILA, Philippines — Security in Baguio City has been tightened in time for President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo's visit there on Wednesday, a radio report said Tuesday afternoon. Radio dzRH reported that security was also tightened at the route of the 44-kilometer Bontoc-Banaue Road, which Mrs. Arroyo is due to inspect. The report said Public Works Secretary Hermogenes Ebdane Jr. will brief Mrs. Arroyo on the project, which has been 30 percent completed so far. The report said road right-of-way problems have hounded the project, which Mrs. Arroyo wants completed by 2010. - GMANews.TV
