Gym instructor drowns in Bataan beach

MANILA, Philippines - A 29-year-old fitness gym instructor drowned while on vacation in Bataan on Friday. The victim was identified as Jarwin Cruz, an instructor of Slimmers World Pasig branch, said police Inspector Tara Leah Young, spokesperson of the Bataan Provincial Police Office. Young said the victim was last seen alive heading for deep waters at the Montemar Beach Club in Barangay Pagasa, Bagac at around 5 p.m. Friday. “Lifeguards immediately acted upon and tried to save the victim through CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation).
