5 killed in collapse of portion of Cebu building

Five people were killed while six others were wounded after a portion of the Gaisano Capital Building in Cebu City collapsed before dawn on Wednesday. A GMA Flash Report said the incident occurred at about 1 a.m. The building, which is still being constructed, is located in the village of Tisa in Cebu City, capital of Cebu province in central Philippines.

A radio dzBB report identified those being treated at the Cebu City Medical Center as Arnel Pacible, 23; Jerome Seyosi, 23; Roel Pasajen, 19; Joey Mansera, 36; Noel Lucero, 26; and Ricardo Villegas, 27. Initial investigation showed that the victims were taking a break when a portion of the building collapsed.
