USGS: Magnitude-5 quake rocks Mindanao

A magnitude-5 quake rocked parts of Mindanao before noon Thursday, but there was no initial report of casualties or damage. The United States Geological Survey said the quake was recorded at 10:13 a.m., with the epicenter traced to 130 km south-southeast of Hinatuan in Mindanao. It said the quake's epicenter was also 140 km east of Davao, 230 km northeast of General Santos, or 1,035 km southeast of Manila.—JV, GMANews.TV
