Palace declares July 15 non-working holiday in Cordillera

July 15, Friday, has been declared a special-non working holiday in the Cordillera Autonomous Region (CAR) to mark the region's foundation day. The holiday declaration was made through Proclamation No. 190 signed by President Benigno Simeon Aquino III. The University of the Cordilleras has already announced that all its offices would be closed and there would be no classes on that day. "It is but fitting and proper that the people of CAR be given full opportunity to celebrate and participate in the occassion with appropriate ceremonies," the UC said on its website. - VVP, GMA News
