DPWH: All roads in Bicol region passable except for Catanduanes
As tropical storm Pedring (international name: Nesat) intensified into a typhoon on Monday, the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) said all roads in the Bicol region remain passable, except for Catanduanes. The District Engineering Offices (DEOs) in Region V (Bicol Region) said there are minor floodings and landslides in Albay and Camarines Sur. According to the travel advisory issued by the DPWH as of 8:00 am on Monday, Catanduandes Disaster Risk Reduction Management (DRRM) teams will be deployed as soon as the weather permits. Meanwhile, DPWH Region X (Northern Mindanao) reported that Olayan Bridge in Bacusanaon, Pangantukan, Bukidnon is passable to all kinds of vehicles, except overloaded trucks. The allowable load capacity limit is only 5 tons.
