Palawan airport resumes operations after Tuesday mishap
Operations at the Puerto Princesa Airport in Palawan resumed early Wednesday, a day after an accident where two planes' wings hit each other at the airport tarmac. Inspections were still being made on a Cebu Pacific plane, one of the planes that figured in the incident, radio dzBB's Palawan affiliate James Viernes reported. The report said the Cebu Pacific technical crew saw damaged lights on the wing and are checking for damage in the fuel tank. Earlier reports indicated the Cebu Pacific plane nicked a Zest Air plane on the tarmac. The incident reportedly damaged guide lights on the Zest Air plane. It also caused delays in the incoming and outgoing flights on Tuesday. Cebu Pacific sent a "rescue flight" for the passengers affected by the incident, but Zest Air's passengers were stranded for the night in Puerto Princesa, the report added. — LBG, GMA News
