15 people hurt in 2-jeep collision in Antipolo

At least 15 people were reported injured after two passenger jeeps collided in Antipolo City early Sunday. Two of the 15 were pedestrians who were hurt after being hit by the jeeps, radio dzBB's Glen Juego reported. Sketchy initial reports indicated the incident occurred along Sumulong Highway in Mambugan village. Both jeeps with license plates TVS-726 and TVN-627 were plying the Cubao-Antipolo route, the report said. Police are verifying initial findings the brakes of one of the jeepneys failed. The passengers and the two pedestrians initially identified as Sotero Trillas and Leandro Joson were rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment. — LBG, GMA News
