Pagcor guard hunted for P2.8-M theft in Cebu
Cebu authorities are tracking down a security guard of the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp. Casino Filipino for allegedly making off with P2.8 million from the office vault. The guard, initially identified only as Pascual Uriana Jr., was seen hurrying out of the Pagcor office in Mandaue City shortly before the theft was discovered, radio dzBB's Cebu affiliate reported. Uriana was seen carrying what appeared to be a plastic bag while making his way out of the Casino Filipino. When security officers tried to accost him, he ran out. But security personnel lost track of him after he threw some of the money in the air and residents in the area scrambled to pick up the cash. He was last seen speeding towards Cebu City in a taxi. The report said the Pagcor security personnel were not immediately able to jot the cab's plate number. — LBG, GMA News
