NDRRMC: At least 65 stranded due to Tropical Storm 'Marce'
At least 65 people were stranded in Luzon due to bad weather conditions brought by Tropical Storm Marce (Gaemi), the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council said Wednesday.
In its report, the NDRRMC said the 65 stranded passengers were from motor bancas in Cagayan province bound for destinations in Isabela province.
The NDRRMC said 11 of the stranded passengers were from the motor banca Jayson and 22 from the banca Rosario, which were bound for Calayan in Cagayan.
Another 32 were passengers of the motor banca Babylyn bound for Maconacon and Divilacan towns in Isabela, it added.
Flash floods
Meanwhile, the NDRRMC said a heavy downpour at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday flooded Panik Purok 5 in San Jose in Malaybalay City in Bukidnon.
It said at least nine households were affected by the downpour, which also triggered a flash flood at Km 4 Denawehan Creek and Casisang Creek, Panit Purok 5 and Purok 1 in San Jose village.
No casualty was initially reported, the NDRRMC said. –KG, GMA News
