Number of diarrhea victims in Bohol rises
The number of victims of the diarrhea outbreak in Loon, Bohol province in central Philippines continues to rise as more residents were brought to the hospital for treatment, GMA's Flash Report said Friday. The report said at least 26 patients were admitted at the Congressman Natalio Castillo Memorial Hospital due to the disease. The surge of patients brought the number of victims to 90 from Thursday's 63. Two victims have earlier been reported to have died. Most of the victims were from the villages of Sandinga, Basa and Cogon Norte. Meanwhile, the Department of Health is expected to release Monday the result of its examination on the water used by the residents. Initial tests showed contaminated water was the cause of diarrhea of the victims. - GMANews.TV
