San Pablo City councilor killed in Laguna ambush

Police said they are tracking down the men who fled aboard a motorcycle after gunning down San Pablo City councilor Edgar Adajar, radio dzBB reported early Thursday. Adajar was killed while his bodyguard was injured in an ambush by two armed men Wednesday afternoon. Wounded in the incident was Adajar's bodyguard Ronaldo Leonardo. Both victims sustained gunshot wounds in the head and body. The report quoted San Pablo City police head Superintendent Carlos Barde as saying the incident occurred at 4 p.m. at Barangay Concepcion in San Pablo City.  — ELR, GMA News
