NDRRMC: One killed, four hurt as bus falls into ravine in Ifugao
At least one person was killed while four were injured after a bus hit a house then fell into a ravine in Ifugao province early Friday, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) said on Saturday.
In its 8:00 a.m. report, the NDRRMC said the incident occurred at 5:45 a.m. at the national highway at Barangay Poblacion in Alfonso Lista in Ifugao.
Killed was the house owner identified as Conchita Peralta. Injured were Kenept Ogas, Daniel Dangilan, Jane Bagtang, and Grace Dontogan.
The injured were brought to the Potia District Hospital in Alfonso Lista town for treatment.
An initial investigation showed the "Potia" bus liner (BVT-509) driven by Edmund Chummac, 32, hit the house while negotiating a blind curve.
The bus then fell into a 200-meter-deep ravine, the NDRRMC said. - VVP, GMA News
