2 held over Cavite massacre


Police have arrested at least two suspects in the gruesome murder of an Iglesia ni Cristo (INC) minister and his family in Ternate town in Cavite last Thursday. Radio dzBB reported Friday morning that police initially identified the suspects as Sherwin and Rico Bernal, but did not immediately specify their roles in the crime. It said the two were arrested in a joint operation of the Naic provincial police, indicating the two were arrested in a hideout in neighboring Naic town. Last Thursday, INC minister Darius Api, 34; his wife Terry, 34; and six-year-old son Kurt Russell were found dead in their house in San Juan village in Ternate.
