Passengers in Baguio start buying return tickets to Manila

Barely have they started enjoying their Holy Week vacation in Baguio City when many passengers have started queuing to buy tickets for their return trip to Manila this Easter weekend. One of the bus companies plying routes between Manila and Baguio said passengers formed long lines Thursday morning to buy tickets for Manila. "We have five ticket booths open & there is quite a line of passengers buying return tickets to Manila, most for Sunday," Victory Liner Inc. said on its Twitter account.  It advised those arriving in Baguio or are in Baguio now to "please buy your return ticket" soonest.

Many are planning to go home Sunday and Monday, it added. Since last weekend, Filipinos had taken trips to the provinces by air, land and sea to spend Holy Week with their families. The exodus started to peak late Wednesday, as many knocked off work to get rides to the provinces. -- LBG, GMA News
