23 vintage bombs found in Pangasinan construction site

At least 23 bombs believed to be of World War II vintage were unearthed at a construction site in Dagupan City in Pangasinan Thursday.

 

Construction crew working on a rehabilitation center summoned police to the site after their equipment unearthed the bombs, radio dzBB's Manny Vargas reported Friday.

 

The bombs were found in the spot where a canteen was about to be built, the report said.

 

Dagupan City police and the local Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) teams took custody of the bombs for safekeeping. —KG, GMA News
