NDRRMC: Three injured, 270 homeless in Iligan fire
At least three people were injured while 270 people were homeless after a fire hit a residential area in Iligan City in Lanao del Norte on Friday afternoon, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) said on Saturday.
In its report, the NDRRMC said the fire occurred at 2:30 p.m. at Barangay Canaway in Iligan City, and affected 54 families.
The fire, which was put out at 3:20 p.m., injured three people, who the NDRRMC identified as:
- Marcoplen Baylosses, 16, puncture wound in right foot
- Randolph Rada, 12, puncture wound in right foot
- Orly Baoc, 21, puncture wound in left leg.
Arson investigators are still determining what caused the fire.
The Office of Civil Defense (OCD) is monitoring developments about the fire.
Earlier this week, a fire hit a warehouse in Iligan City, injuring four people and causing P220 million in damage to property. - VVP, GMA News
