NDRRMC: One missing in Davao City flash floods
A 64-year-old man was reported missing after flash floods that hit parts of Davao City on Wednesday, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) said on Friday.
In its 8:00 a.m. report, the NDRRMC identified the missing person as Jaca Sopronio, a resident of Durian village in the Calinan area.
"(Sopronio) was reported crossing the street with his motorcycle when the incident happened," it said.
The NDRRMC said the flash floods hit at about 4 p.m. in Purok Dalia in the city's Baguio district.
Meanwhile, the NDRRMC said strong winds affected three villages in Davao City's Tugbok district also on Wednesday afternoon.
It said 11 families (or 44 people) were affected, while one house was destroyed and 15 damaged.
The affected areas included Barangays Mintal, Santo Niño, and Bago Oshiro. - VVP, GMA News
