Teacher faces complaints for forcing pupil to eat paper

A public school teacher in Aklan province may face charges for allegedly forcing a Grade I pupil to eat a piece of paper for being noisy in class.

The experience had traumatized the student, whose parents lodged a complaint against the teacher, according to a report on dzBB radio Saturday afternoon.

While the dzBB report did not identify the teacher, a separate report on Bombo Radyo described her as 44 years old and a resident of Madalag town in Aklan.

Police were told that the teacher made the pupil eat the piece of paper for being noisy.

The pupil's parents added the incident also traumatized the pupil's classmates who saw what happened.

Some of them were so scared they became reluctant to go to school, the report added. -- LBG, GMA News
