PNoy declares Aug. 19 non-working day in Angono, Rizal

President Benigno Aquino III has declared August 19 as a special non-working day in Angono, Rizal, in celebration of its 75th anniversary.

Aquino made the declaration through Proclamation No. 632 dated August 8, 2013.

"In order to give the people of the Municipality of Angono, Rizal the opportunity to celebrate and participate in the occasion, it is but fitting and proper to declare 19 August 2013, as a special non-working day," it said.

According to Malacañang, Angono was just a barrio of its neighboring town Taytay before it was proclaimed an independent municipality on August 19, 1938 through Executive Order 158 by President Manual Quezon. — Kimberly Jane T. Tan /LBG, GMA News
