PAGASA: Binga Dam in Benguet keeps 1 gate open

Binga Dam in Benguet on Sunday morning kept one gate open to spill excess water, amid forecasts of isolated rain showers and thunderstorms over most of Luzon.

PAGASA, in its 6 a.m. Sunday update, said Binga Dam kept one gate open at 0.6 meter, just like it did on Saturday morning.

It indicated Binga's water level as of 6 a.m. was 574.33 meters, slightly below the 574.42 meters recorded on Saturday.

The dam's high water level is 575 meters.

Ambuklao Dam in Benguet kept its gates closed as of Sunday.

PAGASA earlier said the inter-tropical convergence zone may bring rain to parts of Southern Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao, though Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon may expect isolated rain showers or thunderstorms mostly in the afternoon or evening. — LBG, GMA News
