Two killed as bus falls into ravine in Nueva Ecija

At least two people were killed while more than 20 were injured after a passenger bus fell into a ravine in Nueva Ecija before dawn Wednesday.

The accident involved a Dalin bus (BVF-733) heading for Manila from Tuguegarao City, radio dzBB's Ronald Leander reported.

Citing initial information from police, the report said the fatalities were aged 37 and 18.

An initial investigation showed the bus fell into a 100-meter ravine at Barangay Capintalan in Carranglan town in Nueva Ecija.

At least 22 were reported injured, one of them said to be in critical condition.

The passengers were brought to the Nueva Vizcaya General Hospital.

Local authorities are looking into what caused the accident. — LBG, GMA News
