Relatives rob Mommy Dionisia’s mansion in GenSan

Nephews of Dionisia Pacquiao, the mother of world boxing champ and Sarangani Rep. Manny Pacquiao, robbed her mansion in General Santos City on Thursday early morning, police said Friday.

 

Ranil Mantalaba and Richard Chato, Mrs. Pacquiao's second nephews, were caught stealing a motor pump and an air conditioning unit from her house in Purok Acharon, Barangay Labangal at 1:32 a.m. Thursday, Inspector Romulo Villarta of the General Santos Police Station 2 told GMA News Online in a phone interview.

 

Chato was shot in the thigh by Mrs. Pacquiao's driver-bodyguard, who was patrolling the mansion when the robbery happened, Villarta added.

 

The police officer further said that both robbery suspects admitted to having robbed Mrs. Pacquiao's mansion before this incident.

 

"Pangalawang beses na raw ito. Nung nagnakaw nang primero, hindi nahuli. Kinutuban daw si Mommy D kaya pina-check niya sa driver-bodyguard. Noong patakas 'yung dalawa, nabaril 'yung isa," Villarta said.

 

Mrs. Pacquiao will only file charges against the suspects if the materials they stole from the house will not be returned, Villarta added. —KG, GMA News
