7 hurt as bus collides with AUV in Quezon province
At least seven people were injured after a passenger bus heading from Bicol to Manila collided with an Asian utility vehicle in Tiaong, Quezon before dawn Saturday.
The accident occurred at 4:48 a.m. at a portion of Maharlika Highway at Lusacan village in Tiaong, radio dzBB's Manny Vargas reported.
The report said the seven injured were from the Revo-type AUV (XEF-552) after it was hit in the left side by the Isarog bus (TYZ-653).
Initial investigation showed the bus heading from Bicol to Manila collided with the AUV that was traveling in the opposite direction.
The injured passengers were brought to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Earlier this week, at least three people were killed while more than 20 were injured after a bus collided with a truck in Tiaong, near the boundary of Quezon and Laguna.
The accident before midnight Wednesday involved a JAM Liner bus (Body 202) and a truck (UHX-995), GMA news stringer Peewee Bacunio reported on dzBB radio. — Joel Locsin LBG, GMA News
