SLEX, NLEX traffic eases except in Dau, Pampanga: toll firm

Traffic in most parts of the North and South Luzon Expressways eased Thursday afternoon, although vehicles continue to move at a snail’s pace along the NLEX segment from San Fernando to Dau Interchange in Pampanga, according to reports.

At 5:13 p.m, the northbound traffic from San Fernando to Dau was still moderate to heavy, according to the Tollways Management Corporation, the company that maintains the NLEX.

According to a separate tweet by the Department of Transportation and Communications' Toll Regulatory Board (TRB), the queue of vehicles leading to the Dau Toll Plaza has reached 1.5 kilometers.

TMC said the heavy traffic in Dau is due to the build-up of vehicles along the highway. It said it expects the traffic situation to improve by Thursday evening.

Except for Dau, the traffic situation has been light for the rest of NLEX.

Traffic has also improved along SLEX, with no vehicle buildup reported along the north and southbound lanes.

The traffic situation along the newly opened Tarlac–Pangasinan–La Union Expressway (TPLEX) continues to be light, TRB said. The same situation has also been reported for the Subic–Clark–Tarlac Expressway (SCTEX).
