German businessman shot dead outside Cavite home

A German was shot dead in Bacoor, Cavite by an unidentified man on Friday, police said.

In a text message to reporters, the Cavite Police Provincial Office's Senior Supt. Joselito Esquievel identified the victim as Manfred Mueller, a 62-year-old German, who was shot to death at Meadowood Executive Village in Barangay Panapaan 8 in Bacoor City at around 8:15 p.m. on Friday.

Meanwhile, a report on GMA News TV's "Balitanghali" said the victim, a businessman, was shot several times right outside his home.

The victim sustained wounds in his face, leg, and body from a caliber .45 pistol, the report added.
