Bomb threat hits Iloilo hospital

A bomb threat caused panic among patients and staff of the St. Paul's Hospital in Iloilo Tuesday, Sun-Star Iloilo (www.sunstar.com.ph) reported Wednesday. The report said a man reportedly called to the information office of the said hospital about 11 a.m., telling them a bomb was planted inside the hospital and would explode in 10 minutes. Hospital management immediately called the police and told their patients to relax and do not panic. Police Explosive and Ordinance Division operatives and soldiers responded and conducted a thorough inspection but no bomb was found inside the hospital. Before the incident, a certain nurse reportedly recovered a threat letter being left in a nurse station threatening that a bomb will explode in 10 minutes. Minutes after the said letter was recovered, the management received a bomb threat from an unknown caller. The hospital management is still conducting its own investigation over the caller's purpose. - GMANews.TV
