PNP: Suspect in fatal shooting of German in Cavite nabbed, links victim's wife to crime

A suspect in the fatal shooting of a German national in Cavite last May 2 has confessed to the crime and linked the victim's Filipina wife to the killing, police said Tuesday.

The Philippine National Police's Criminal Investigation and Detection Group said suspect Dominador Medina executed an extra-judicial confession to the killing of Manfred Mueller.  The CIDG said the suspect was assisted by his lawyer, Rodolfo Felicio.

Medina was arrested last May 16 for the fatal shooting of Mueller in Malipajo St., Meadowood Executive Village, Barangay Panapaan 8 in Bacoor City, Cavite.  Medina claimed he and his companions Roland Paa and a certain Sammy gunned down the 61-year-old German in his house.

CIDG head Director Benjamin Magalong said Medina was contacted by one "Lando," who was supposedly paid by the victim’s wife Tessie Ordanez Mueller.

Quoting the suspect, Magalong said Mrs. Mueller offered P10,000 to have her husband killed.

The CIDG said it and the Bacoor police are preparing charges against the conspirators in the killing.  — Joel Locsin/ELR, GMA News
